     CIECYR COURSE COORDINATOR

The Community Inclusivity Equity Council of York Region (hereafter referred to as the “Council”) is a regional planning table populated by grassroots and mainstream organizations who provide human services to individuals, families and/or communities of varying and diverse identities across York Region.  The Council promotes, supports and advocates for inclusive and equitable practices in governance and operations.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Course Coordinator will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of the Courageous Leadership Development Course from its inception in conjunction with the Council towards the successful completion of all deliverables. CIECYR Third Bi-Annual Equity & Inclusion Symposium 2019.  Courageous Leadership & Organizational Change towards Achieving Equitable Outcomes,  April 10th – 11th, 2019, Sheraton Parkway Hotel and Symposium Centre, Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada

A CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS 

 The CIECYR Third Bi-Annual DEI 2019 Symposium aims to illustrate cutting edge promising practices of leadership and organizational change towards equitable outcomes. The symposium will feature 4 prominent keynote presenters (e.g. Dr. Robin DiAngelo), 2 master sessions, a facilitated round-table chat among senior leaders who are doing promising work, and 8 skillfully presented equity-based workshops across diverse sectors.  The symposium will culminate in the development of a comprehensive and well researched discussion paper with several salient recommendations that all, if not most organizations/sectors will find useful as they continue on an individual and/or collective path.

Workshop Proposal: All CIECYR Bi-Annual 2018 Symposium Workshop Proposal Forms are due by Tuesday, August, 21st, 2018. Completed forms should be emailed to Michael Bowe (michael.bowe@yorkcas.org) and cced to Geri Francis (Geri.Sinclair@yorkcas.org).
